Hurt Poems
And You Will Never Know

Cowering cords of discontent,

Manipulating memories in hollow.

Free not, the flow of decadence, repent,

For I, there is always tomorrow.

Nigh the bitter taste of dreaming,

Sleep within the eyes of mourning.

Rituals of night, awake in screaming,

Deafening silence, of midnight dawning.

Crave I do, and yes of you,

A presence held so dear.

Not that I ever have, nor do,

For this a crowning tear.

I scream so soft that no-one will hear,

How, a heart should break.

Your smile be the poison spear,

Only in mind for sake.

Never know how, I warship thee,

Too frighten to say to your face.

Imprisoned I be, as you are free,

My love, be my iron brace.

Cowering cords of discontent,

Manipulating memories in hollow.

Free not, the flow of decadence, repent,

For I, there is always tomorrow.
